We are a dedicated team of teachers with many years of professional teaching experience. Having worked in state and private schools and with established and reformed educational approaches, experience has led us to determine which meaningful work processes are to be implemented in information technology, and which are not.

In developing Proscola one of our aims was to simplify the mundane tasks and to make it possible for teachers to concentrate on what is most important: Teaching.

The team is enriched by an exceptional business analyst with more than 20 years’ experience in the field of software design. His immense wealth of experience in leading and building companies and software have been invaluable in developing Proscola GmbH.

Together we have a vision - to bring schools into the digital age and to make educational structures and teaching materials available to disadvantaged regions and countries.

Dieter Reitz
For the creation and implementation of school digitisation, he brings the perfect mix of know-how from the fields of education and computer science. He is a man of the first hour and was an innovator long before school digitisation was even a social issue. Dieter Reitz is a trained teacher in the field of sports science and French studies. After studying at the Universities of Freiburg and Basel, Dieter Reitz made a lateral entry into computer science, working as a database administrator and IT trainer in adult education. While working for Swiss International Airlines and as a project manager for Web-Ahead, he developed online training concepts, which ultimately led to a complete school digitisation system. As a member of the core team of ipso Haus des Lernens, he was jointly responsible for school education, but especially for digital concepts.

Jason Thompson
As a seasoned professional in the GDPR, eDiscovery, Information Governance practice areas. With Jason’s 20+ years of experience, 12 years of have been spent working in the highly regulated and privacy driven European region. He is exceptionally skilled in aligning organizations business requirements and policies to those of Europe while being able to cost-effectively find practical solutions to issues found. Common areas expertise include eDiscovery, digital investigations, data protection, legacy data remediation, data loss, IT transformation initiatives and business analytics

Thomas Betschard
Thomas Betschart is a Ph.D. candidate and research assistant at the Urban Studies department at the University of Basel. Thomas holds a master’s degree in geography, modern history, and English literature from the Albert- Ludwigs University of Freiburg, as well as a teaching degree from the FHNW, Basel. Prior to joining the University of Basel, Thomas has worked as a scientific researcher for the Swiss Federal Department of Environment in Berne (BAFU). He has furthermore worked for academic teacher training programs at FHNW and co-founded a start-up company that develops web-based education systems.
